Ja Morant’s Heroics Lead Grizzlies to Overtime Victory Over Celtics at TD Garden

The Memphis Grizzlies edged out the Boston Celtics in a thrilling overtime clash at TD Garden, securing a 132-126 victory behind an electrifying performance from Ja Morant. The Grizzlies star guard was the driving force, contributing 29 points, 9 assists, and 8 rebounds. His explosive athleticism and key plays, including a highlight-reel alley-oop, helped Memphis outlast Boston in the final moments.

Boston, playing without Jayson Tatum and Kemba Walker, leaned heavily on Jaylen Brown, who led the team with 27 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists. Despite strong efforts from Jeff Teague, who added 26 points, and valuable bench contributions from Grant Williams and Robert Williams III, the Celtics fell short during overtime. Defensive lapses and Memphis's superior rebounding proved costly.

In addition to Morant, Dillon Brooks played a pivotal role for the Grizzlies, tallying 24 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists. Jonas Valančiūnas dominated the boards with 19 rebounds while adding 16 points to secure a double-double.

The Celtics mounted a late comeback to force overtime but couldn't maintain momentum. Memphis capitalized on critical turnovers and defensive stops in the extra period to seal the win, improving their record to .500 while dropping Boston below the same mark.

The Celtics will look to regroup as they face the Milwaukee Bucks in their next matchup, aiming to rebound from this challenging defeat. Meanwhile, the Grizzlies will carry their momentum into their next game, with Morant continuing to solidify his case as one of the league's top young talents.
